Inventory Warehouse Associate – Tile & Mosaic Industry

Location: Confidential in Anaheim, CA 92801

Reports to: Warehouse Manager / Inventory Supervisor

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time

Job Summary:

The Inventory Warehouse Associate is responsible for managing and organizing stock, ensuring that all tile and mosaic products are accurately counted, stored, and shipped according to customer orders. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The Inventory Warehouse Associate will work closely with other warehouse staff, as well as the sales and procurement teams, to ensure that the inventory system is up-to-date and that stock is readily available for customer orders.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

- Receive and inspect shipments of tiles, mosaics, and related products.

- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas to maximize space and accessibility.

- Perform regular inventory counts, track stock levels, and report discrepancies.

- Ensure all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly labeled and documented.

- Assist in restocking inventory, ensuring popular items are always in stock.

- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) or ERP system.

Order Fulfillment:

- Pick, pack, and prepare tile and mosaic orders for shipping.

- Double-check orders for accuracy before they are shipped out to customers.

- Coordinate with shipping carriers to ensure timely and accurate delivery.

- Assist with returns processing and ensure proper storage of returned goods.

Quality Control:

- Inspect incoming products for damage or defects and notify the appropriate parties for resolution.

- Ensure that all products are stored in accordance with company standards for safety and quality.

- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse to prevent damage to the products.

Logistics & Shipping:

- Load and unload products from delivery trucks and ensure safe handling during the process.

- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, or other warehouse equipment to move and organize stock.

- Assist with inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accurate records.

Health & Safety Compliance:

- Adhere to all safety protocols when handling tile products, ensuring that proper safety equipment is used (gloves, safety shoes, etc.).

- Report any unsafe working conditions to the Warehouse Manager immediately.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors, organizing shelves, and removing trash or debris.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional warehouse or logistics certifications are a plus.

- Previous experience in warehouse operations, particularly in the tile, mosaic, or construction materials industry, is preferred.

- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently.

- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software is beneficial.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a dynamic warehouse environment.

- Basic math skills for inventory management and order verification.

- Good physical stamina and the ability to lift up to 80 pounds, as well as bend, twist, and stand for long periods.

- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification may be required.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

- Willing to do various warehouse duties as needed by management

Working Conditions:

- Full-time position with standard warehouse operating hours; occasional overtime may be required based on shipping schedules and demand.

- The work environment is typically noisy, with temperature variations depending on season and location.

- Exposure to tile and mosaic materials, including dust and small particles, may be present.

Physical Demands:

- Ability to lift and carry up to 80 pounds regularly.

- Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and stand for extended periods of time.

- Frequent walking and standing on hard surfaces.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and occasionally noisy environment.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience with inventory management systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, or similar).

- Familiarity with tile and mosaic products, including understanding their storage requirements and fragility.

- Experience operating forklifts or other warehouse machinery.

Compensation:

- Competitive hourly wage compared to industry. Starting $22/hr.
