Department: Precious Metals/Lab Department

Pay Range: $18 - $25 per hour
SUMMARY:
As a Laboratory Technician, you will contribute to our analytical team by conducting wet chemistry procedures, preparing samples, and utilizing advanced instruments such as ICP and XRF. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will contribute to the success of our laboratory operations and to your professional development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
-Perform all tasks following safety protocols, procedures, and company regulatory guidelines.
-Log new Catalytic Converter parts into the laboratory for sampling and analysis.
-Crush and pulverize Catalytic Converter honeycombs (substrates) flowing company sampling methods.
-Prepare samples for XRF analysis.
-Perform the procedure from sampling fusion using a furnace.
-Assist in the digestion processes of the samples as needed.
-Enter results upon completion and approval into designated folders.
-Follow good laboratory practices and procedures for cleaning glassware, discarding waste, and maintaining a clean work area.
