We are looking for a Full-Time Bandsaw Operator to join the team at Benner Metals! This role is Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:30 PM and occasional overtime is necessary. This is a physically demanding position that requires being on your feet.
Responsibilities:
Familiar with operating horizontal band saws such as Hyd-mech, HEM, Doall, Behringer
Machine operators will place inventory from staging racks or from pulled inventory onto machines using overhead cranes and/or forklifts.
Machine operator will calibrate or input dimensions for each order using tape measures or NC control panel on each machine. After cutting is complete for a specific order, machine operator will submit paperwork for quality assurance inspection and then package material once approved.
Throughout the process, machine operator must maintain accountability and control for inventory through the use of tag/bar code system.
Qualifications:
Must be able to routinely lift 75 pounds
Must be able to read a tape measure accurately
Must be able to safely and efficiently operate machines
Must be able to calculate material loss before cutting for maximum cutting efficiency. (Nesting).
Must have reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a drug test prior to employment
Must be punctual
Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers
Must adhere to safe work practices
This is a physically demanding position that requires being on your feet for the majority of your day.
Compensation:
Starting at $15.00 to $17.00 per hour depending on experience
