My wife and I are hiring a part-time house manager to do housekeeping, laundry and light cooking. Our home is in San Juan Capistrano right off of the 5 freeway.
We are very kind, flexible, and easy to work with. We have a small single story 3 bedroom, 1,250 sq feet home and we have 2 teenage kids. Our home is newly remodeled with minimal clutter and NO pets.
This position will be 6-8 hours across 2 days per week in the morning either Tuesday and Thursday or Wednesday and Friday. We are looking for someone who LOVES to cook, clean, do laundry and is very organized. We are eager to work with someone who truly likes caring for homes. Ideally, housekeeping is something that relaxes you!
Cook
We are both really busy and would love someone who could make us lunches and dinners for the week. We would like to have this person help us label the foods for each meal so it is easy to grab and go. We have a Thermomix which is like a kitchen computer that basically does the cooking for you, you just need to add the ingredients! (Which I will buy in advance) We are not really picky and are fine with meals that rotate from week to week.
Example lunches include: vegetable stir fry with rice, any type of soup ie. lentil soup, any type of green salads, egg salad, pasta, sandwiches, chopped vegetables with hummus, etc.
- Example dinners include: Crock pot meals, pulled pork sandwiches, shredded chicken tacos, enchiladas, lemon chicken and rice, pastas, etc.
Housekeeper
We want someone who can vacuum (we have a cordless Dyson vacuum), wipe counters, do the dishes, wipe baseboards from time to time, take out the trash when needed, mop floors 1x a week, bathrooms 1x per week, windows every two weeks. If time, straighten up the small side patio. We have a dishwasher and of course all of the cleaning supplies.
Laundry
We want someone who can help wash and fold laundry once a week including changing the bedding 1x per week. The right candidate is good at folding, getting rid of stains, and leaving laundry in their respective bedrooms. They are thoughtful about what can be dried and what cannot be dried (a lot of our clothes need to be air-dried). We have a nice and fast washer and dryer which is a big plus.
