Custom fabrication shop in need of a shop runner / apprentice.
Starting Pay $18 - $22 an hour (40 hours a week plus overtime)
Job Description
- Do shop runs to vendors to pick up plywood, metal, hardware, etc.
- Make shop deliveries
- Help shop pack jobs for shipping. (pad wrap, banding, shrink wrap, palatize product)
- Help clean the and organize the shop. (put tools away, empty trash cans, sweep the floors)
- Help support the the shop staff with custom builds. (laminate wood, prep for paint, woodworking, etc.)
- Learn to use basic hand tools (sanders, routers, drills, saws, etc. )
- ability to drive and operate a forklift is a plus
Requirements
- must have a clean driving record
- must be able to lift 50 lbs
- must be willing to work overtime. Average day is 6am - 4:30pm
- must be willing to learn and want to grow
