Financial firm seeking an in-state Licensed Attorney in California to help with In House General Counsel, Litigation, and Mediation practice in our Santa Ana office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serves as a focal point for all Business Collections, Mediation and Litigation
Work with Arbitrations and courts on new/pending cases
Work with Collection Department and Accounts Payable to help collect payments
Negotiate with Creditors and Direct Lenders
Update Client in Mycase CRM Database
Managing deadlines (court and client) to ensure files are properly handled
Process weekly/monthly legal department reports
Follow up with Clients, Creditors and Attend Courts
Qualifications:
Creditors Legal Collection, Mediation and Litigation knowledge preferred
Industry Business Loan/Business Debt Default
Strong intrapersonal, negotiation, and communications skills.
Able to train employees in legal requirements, contract law, and legal research.
Comfortable anticipating legal risk and making high-stakes decisions.
High level of business ethics and problem-solving capability.
Experience navigating the judicial system within a network of local and regional resources.
Demonstrated ability to create and manage legal documentation, procedures, mediation, collections, and litigation.
