Our rapidly growing Personal Injury firm is in need of a Litigation Attorney to join our friendly, hardworking team.
Qualified applicants will be motivated self-starters who will be able to quickly and efficiently handle the many diverse tasks associated with the position. Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the capacity to multitask and meet deadlines is essential. Ability to work in a team environment with a professional attitude and work ethic is a must.
What you’ll do:
· Exercise your skills and knowledge to strategize and assist our clients in achieving optimal resolution
· Handle pleadings, meet and confers, discovery, a variety of motion writing, depositions, court appearances, trial preparations and everything in between
· Utilize your critical thinking skills to develop creative methods for negotiating and strategizing
· Employ your knack for negotiating for favorable outcomes
· Become an expert in litigating complicated and complex personal injury matters
Skills & Experience
· 3+ years’ experience and admission in good standing with the California State Bar;
· Familiarity with personal injury, i.e. motor vehicle collisions, slip and falls, concepts of general negligence, premises liability, etc.;
· Excellent oral advocacy and written communication skills;
· Strong research, writing and analytical skills;
· Relevant civil litigation experience including drafting pleadings; developing and implementing discovery strategy; taking and defending depositions of parties, percipient witnesses, and experts; successful track record in bringing, opposing, and arguing dispositive motions; attending mediations and other settlement conferences;
· Excellent academic credentials; and
· Able to handle your own caseload.
