Role Description
Hourly pay rate is negotiable depending upon qualifications, skill, and experience. This is a litigation paralegal role at Prominent Law Group, APC, with some support work in probate and other law practice areas. As a litigation paralegal, the day-to-day tasks will include legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, discovery request and responses, calendaring deadlines, summarizing depositions, case file organization and management, and may assist the attorney in court proceedings, including trials and hearings. Additionally, the paralegal may prepare probate accounting reports and bankruptcy case forms.
Qualifications
Honesty, integrity and ethical standards
Familiarity with law, including trial procedures and courtroom etiquette
Experience in drafting pleadings, legal motions, subpoenas and conducting legal research
Calendar litigation due dates, and manage due dates
Communication with court staff, process servers, investigators
Check court websites to check court dockets
Ability to prepare discovery requests and responses
Experience summarizing deposition transcripts
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively; self starter
Certified paralegal, or otherwise legally able to bill clients for services per California law
Experience in handling complex litigation and class action defense cases is a plus

Pay: From $40.00 per hour, depending on qualifications, skill and experience.
