Fischer Law Office, a thriving business and estate planning law firm in Long Beach/Seal Beach, is seeking a Paralegal with a minimum five years of experience in estate planning, trust administration, probate, and corporate. Position could be full-time or part-time, with a minimum of 30 hours per week. This can be a hybrid position, i.e., working in our office 3 days/week and remotely 1-2 days; however, a defined schedule will be established for the position. $30-$40/hour, DOE.
Strong candidates will have at least five years of experience working in a law firm, paralegal certification, and specific experience handling the following tasks:
Filing, e-filing, and recording state and county court documents.
Researching regulations, requirements, and other information to assist with the preparation of filings, reports, and case files.
Drafting and proofreading correspondence and legal documents.
Communicating with clients and other parties to gather necessary documents and information, schedule meetings, etc.
Collecting, reviewing, and organizing legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
Managing, organizing, and maintaining client files and other documents in electronic filing systems.
Maintaining firm calendar, including filing and other deadlines, court appearances, client meetings, etc.
Providing general administrative support and office assistance, as needed.
Requirements:
Minimum five years of experience as a paralegal in a law firm.
Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Sign.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong problem-solving initiative and skills.
Ability to handle confidential matters with sensitivity and discretion.
Self-starter, team player, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
