Full-service electrical sign company is currently seeking an experienced sign designer. This position will mainly involve creating detailed construction drawings for signs that have already been designed, but designing from scratch may occasionally be required. Candidates should be able to work independently and take appropriate action as required by their duties and responsibilities.
To be considered for this role, applicants should have at least 3 years of experience in technical design and detailing medium to large sign and/or construction projects. Experience in the Sign industry, specifically designing and detailing signs and working with CorelDraw is required. Applicants should have an understanding of sign construction projects, workflows, and terminology, as well as knowledge and understanding of sign manufacturing and installation basics. The ability to read and understand municipal codes, permitting procedures, blueprints, and plans is important, as is having the ability to understand structural requirements as provided by engineers. Applicants must also be able to provide custom solutions and meet deadlines. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are necessary, as well as a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
