FenceScreen Inc. seeks a full-time, in-house Graphic Designer at our corporate office in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. Responsibilities include the creation of custom graphics and logos for our customers, the design of marketing collateral to support our sales efforts, and there is the opportunity for interactive design for our current and planned websites. The customer graphics and logos will be printed on fence screens or outdoor banner material for use in applications as varied as new construction projects, special events, sports parks, resorts, museums, etc.
Responsibilities:
Creating and executing print design concepts for clients that communicate their brand and marketing messages
- Creating or converting client logos for wide-format printing
- The creation of custom banners for clients, including in-house photography and illustration or retouching of stock images and illustration
- Create professional-quality proofs for client projects
- Create job specs and quotes for client design services
Creating and executing print design concepts for internal marketing efforts
- Design production of web banners / graphic needs
- Design layout of sales sell sheets
- Annual catalog design and production – layout, graphic processing, proofing and edits, pre-press
- Email marketing design and graphic assets
(Optional) Creating and executing the interactive design of our public websites
- The development of creative briefs/mood boards, sitemaps, wireframes, design mockups, and style guides
- Support the design evolution of existing websites as our product and services portfolio grows
- Lead the design of new websites that address the unique solution requirements of our various customer market segments
General production support
- Client graphics file management
- Creative print and web project proofing and editing
- File check-in / QC and final sign-off to press
- Manage your projects appropriately to meet deadlines
Qualifications:
2-3 years experience in graphic design and production.
BA in Graphic Design preferred.
Strong print design skills
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge)
Working knowledge of digital wide format printing preferred.
Strong time management skills, superior organizational skills, and attention to detail
Positive outlook and can-do attitude.
Work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
An ability to manage your own projects
Optional / desired:
- Strong working knowledge of web interaction design, user-centered experience design, brand development, digital marketing, and common web standards/technologies
- Ability to do front-end design work on web projects using Photoshop
