CNC Machinist-Set-Up – Horizontal Mills

TOMI ENGINEERING, Inc is an Aerospace Manufacturing Company in Santa Ana (92707) has immediate opening for experienced CNC Setup Machinists -Horizontals. Duties will include performing set-ups and operation of various CNC milling machines, to accomplish production and prototype machining functions.
EXPERIENCE A MUST:
3-5 years machining experience with CNC Vertical and Horizontal Mills
Blueprints & Inspection
Tool knowledge
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform Operations such as drilling, tapping, reaming, and boring on a variety or work requiring a degree of skill while ensuring dimensional accuracy is maintained.
Create setups for a wide variety of parts.
Comply with all safety requirements, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operations of equipment in a safe and competent manner. Keep assigned work area clean, organized, and orderly per 5s standards.
Work from drawings and specifications using a variety of prevision measuring instruments.
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office and MasterCam; JobBoss a plus.
The employee may be required to work beyond normal working hours from time to time as workload dictates.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Reads and Interprets Blueprints and Production Travelers
Must Have Own Tools
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDELINES:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum three (3) years’ previous work experience as a Machinist is required.
Analytical/Problem solving skills
Oral and Written Communication Skills in English
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Full Knowledge of 3 (4 & 5 a plus) axis CNC Milling Machines (Fanuc / OSP Controls)
Ability to Handle Multiple Programs and Tasks Simultaneously and Efficiently
Professionalism and Ability to Interface Effectively with all Levels of Personnel
Complete the Following Task: Milling, Deburring, and All Bench Operations
PHYSICAL REQUIRMENTS:
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to stretch, bend and reach work areas.
Must be able to occasionally reach, bend, stoop, lift, and move parts, tooling or inspection equipment weighing 40 pounds or less.
Ability to perform essential functions of the job, as defined reasonable accommodations provided upon request.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Majority of work is performed on the production floor, which is subject to moderate changes in temperature.
