CNC Maintenance Technician

Summary:

This position is responsible for the advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of complex CNC machining centers, including but not limited to milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other automated equipment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as advanced troubleshooting skills in PLC/CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas preferred).

Responsibilities:

Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of CNC machine tools, including:

Mechanical systems: Ball screws, bearings, gears, spindles, slides, etc.

Electrical systems: Motors, drives, servos, sensors, I/O cards, etc.

Hydraulic/Pneumatic systems: Valves, cylinders, pumps, etc.

PLC/CNC controls: Ladder logic, diagnostics, parameter adjustments, motion control, etc.

Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and repairs according to established schedules.

Diagnose and resolve complex machine malfunctions quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.

Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and peripheral equipment as needed.

Implement and maintain effective preventative maintenance programs.

Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

Assist in the installation and commissioning of new CNC equipment.

Train and mentor junior maintenance technicians.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs.

Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field preferred.

Experience: 5+ years of experience as a CNC Maintenance Technician (Level 3) or 7+ years of experience (Level 4) with a proven track record of success.

Technical Skills:

Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

Advanced troubleshooting skills in PLC/CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens, Haas preferred).

Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.

Experience with robotic systems (preferred).

Knowledge of machining processes (preferred)

May require occasional overtime and weekend work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $40.00 per hour
