Lab /Testing Assistant
Location: Huntington Beach, CA
Pay: $19.00/hour
Schedule: 1st Shift (24-30 hours per week) Monday, Wednesday, Friday
Overview:
Eastridge has partnered with a respected medical device testing company in Huntington Beach seeking to hire a Lab Testing Assistant . This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented and reliable, with a background in medical packaging, quality inspection, or a similar regulated environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform quality inspections and in-process checks of sterile barrier packaging, seal integrity, label placement, and packaging components
Conduct packaging testing, including drop, compression, vibration, and secondary drop testing
Verify compliance with specifications, work instructions, and customer requirements
Accurately document inspection results in QA forms and digital systems
Review batch records, packaging documentation, and certificates of compliance
Support investigations of non-conformances; assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions
Maintain a compliant and audit-ready laboratory and packaging environment
Assist with equipment calibration checks
Communicate quality concerns clearly across teams
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree or technical certification a plus
Minimum 1 year of Lab, Packaging, QC, experience in medical packaging, medical device, or pharmaceutical environments
Ability to read and interpret SOPs, technical drawings, and quality documentation
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and general data entry
Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, regulated setting
