PRO-LOK, a manufacturer and distributor of security door hardware tools and solutions, is seeking a CNC Machinist located in its manufacturing facility in Orange, CA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Machine Operator/Machinist will be responsible for operating automated machines safely, with high quality performance to achieve company specific results. Both Haas and Fadal CNC mills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help in managing other machine shop employees.
Manage the schedule of items to run in shop.
Operate and Run CNC mills
Set up responsibilities including tools, offsets, fixtures.
Sort, mark, or tag finished work.
Lift, move, clamp, and accurately bolt fixtures onto the machines.
Transports material and help position work pieces.
Check parts using appropriate inspection equipment ensuring measurements are accurate.
Compares work-pieces to verify conformance to work specifications.
Reports to a supervisor if any dimensions are out of place or questionable.
Trims, files, grinds, deburrs, buffs, and smoothens surfaces from work pieces, using hand tools and portable power tools.
Cleans the work area, machines, tools, equipment, floors, and all other area in the work place as needed.
Running multiple machines for production and inspecting parts per production plan.
Candidate will also need to conform to company policies and procedures that include counting parts and filling out paperwork to get parts ready for outside processes
General Machine Shop duties
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Basic reading, writing, and math skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of experience in working in a semi-automated manufacturing environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, detail oriented and can follow written and oral instruction.
Ability to communicate effectively with managers, leads, and employees
Must possess a solid mechanical aptitude combined with technical training and/or the equivalent in manufacturing experience
Excellent interpersonal and team work skills
Be in good physical condition, capable of lifting 50 lbs, and working on your feet.
Be able to pass E-Verify, criminal background check and/or pre-employment
physical and drug screening.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to read manufacturing prints
Set up ability
Programming or program editing a plus
Vocational training a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Compensation is based on experience starting rate at $22-$30/hr DOE.
40 hour work week plus potential for overtime if desired.
Eligible for health, dental, and vision insurance. 3% match SIMPLE IRA, Paid Vacation, Paid Holidays
