Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Machine Shop Supervisor to oversee a team of 10 technicians and machinists at our medical device company in Irvine, CA. Reporting to the Machine Shop Manager, this role ensures efficient operations, quality control, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of 10 technicians and machinists. Conduct performance evaluations and foster a collaborative work environment.
Production Oversight: Ensure production schedules are met and machinery operates efficiently.
Quality Control: Implement and maintain quality control processes, ensuring compliance with medical device standards.
Safety and Compliance: Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement changes to boost productivity.
Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with machine shop equipment and G-Code.
Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and quality control standards.
Quality Management Systems:
Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and ISO 13485 documentation.
Leadership and Communication:
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
