We are seeking a skilled Steel Metal Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cutting, bending, forming, and rolling steel materials to precise specifications for various projects. Responsibilities:
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to determine the specifications for fabrication projects.
Operate metal fabrication machinery, including shears, press brakes, rollers, and other equipment, to cut, bend, form, and shape steel materials.
Measure and mark metal pieces for precise cuts and bends according to project requirements.
Use hand tools and power tools to shape and form steel components.
Ensure that all fabricated parts meet the required quality standards and specifications.
Set up and adjust fabrication equipment to accommodate different project specifications.
Inspect fabricated parts for accuracy and make adjustments as needed to meet tolerances.
Maintain and organize tools and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
Work closely with the fabrication team to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications:
Proven experience in metal fabrication, specifically with cutting, bending, forming, and rolling steel.
Proficient in using fabrication machinery such as press brakes, shears, and rollers.
Strong understanding of blueprint reading and technical drawings.
Ability to accurately measure and mark metal for fabrication.
High attention to detail and quality.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong time-management and organizational skills.
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions.
