Job Description
Schedule – 1st Shift
Hours: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Starting pay: $28.00/hr or more, depending on experience
We are looking for a skilled operator-programmer to run and maintain high-pressure water jet machines (including FLOW water jet systems). This role includes programming, machine setup, operation, and quality inspection.
Job Responsibilities
- Read and interpret work orders, production schedules, blueprints, and drawings
- Program water jet machines using CAD/CAM or machine software
- Set offsets, cutting paths, and machine parameters based on materials and job requirements
- Operate the water jet: load/unload materials, secure fixtures, monitor cuts, adjust controls, and deburr parts
- Perform in-process and final inspection using calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
- Complete basic preventive maintenance and keep the work area clean and safe
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 3–8 years of hands-on water jet programming and operating experience
- Previous manufacturing or machining experience required
- Ability to read and work from drawings and specifications
- Strong basic math skills (geometry/algebra helpful)
- Experience with precision measuring tools
- Ability to stand for the duration of the shift, bend/stoop frequently, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Good attendance, strong work ethic, detail-focused, and a team player
- Forklift experience and general mechanical/fabrication skills are a plus
