Full-time Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Supported Living
Reports to the Administrative Coordinator/Support CoordinatorJob Type: Full-time
Hours: Wednesday through Sunday 1:00PM - 9:00PM
Experience: Caregiving: 1 year (Preferred)
Compensation: $19.00 - $22.00/hour depending on level of experience.
Work Location: In person

The candidate should be a self-starter with the ability to communicate and work as a team with the SupportServices Staff and Administration to ensure we meet Participants' needs. Dedication to detail and the ability to actively engage ·with participants is essential. Must exhibit excellent attendance, work ethics, and job responsibility concerning respectful communication with participants, families, and peers. Attendance forassigned shifts and staff meetings and/or daily shift meetings is required.
Qualifications:
· An applicant that exhibits a positive attitude, a willingness to work with a diverse population, and the ability to work in a positive team environment
· The individual must possess the capability to read and write English, understand and carry out individual service plans (ISP)
· Ability to input activity data into online system using company provided computer/ipad
· Minimum age -18 years old. In order to drive company vehicles employee must be 25 years old.
· Valid CA Driver's License
· Basic First Aid & CPR certification required (provided by employer)
· Successfully pass the background check
· TB clearance is required
· Experience with persons with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
Duties:
· Support participants' in activities of daily living, including housekeeping and hygiene medication management, shopping, scheduling transportation, and community activities of their choice.
· Follow regulations and guidelines for both participants and employee safety.
· Function as a member of a team, assisting co-workers as needed and following directions from Lead Staff & Administration.
· Assist with persons entering and exiting transportation services to their daily programs/employment.
· Document services provided into the online reporting system utilizing the provided reporting time during the shift and report any changes to participants plan immediately to the Associate Director.
· Promote open communication between the person, the leadership and direct support team, Regional Center Coordinators, day programs, and health care professionals while following confidentiality policies.
· Attend all training and encourage independence through person-centered choice.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb, balance, stoop, and or kneel. The employee needs the ability to perform physical requirements of walking throughout the residential campus, assisting each person in their apartment with activities of daily living. The employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
