Ticket Booth Cashier Lead receives and disburses money in establishments other than financial institutions. May use electronic scanners, cash registers, or related equipment. May process credit or debit card transactions and validate checks. The Ticket Booth Cashier Lead employee will be working very closely with the department managers to ensure a smooth operation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Receive payment by cash, check, credit cards, vouchers, or automatic debits
Issue receipts, refunds, credits, or change due to guests
Assist guests by providing information and resolving their complaints
Establish or identify prices of goods, services, or admission, and tabulate bills using calculators, cash registers, or scanners
Sell tickets and other items to guests
Process merchandise returns and exchanges
Make sure the department is fully stocked and cleaned before windows opening
Assign tasks for department employees
In the absence of the managers the lead will proceed to complete all Ticket Booth daily tasks including but not limited to pre-paid sheets, announcements, upgrade sheets, etc.
Prepare registers for each department as needed
Assist with giving out requested changes to departments
Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas
Answer customer questions about goods or services
Using mathematics to solve problems
Close out cash drawers for all departments
Print batch-outs and end-of-day reports
Prepare cash deposits for each day
Track lost and found items in the log
Maintaining personal health and sanitation standards
Performing other work-related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school or High school diploma
Short-term on-the-job training
English language and professional communication skills are required
Working conditions
Job tasks are performed in close physical proximity to other people and will require working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
Physical requirements
The job requires standing, walking, repetitive movement, and using hands to handle, control, or feel objects.
Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy with correction
Must be able to see 20/20 vision with correction
