We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer with expertise in Office 365, Azure, network management, and cybersecurity. This is a full-time position working on-site at our Huntington Beach office. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in managing Windows-based networks, cloud services, and network security, with a focus on delivering expert-level support and implementing hybrid IT solutions. This role offers growth potential, especially for those aiming to specialize in cybersecurity within an MSP environment.
Responsibilities:
-Office 365 & Azure Expertise: Provide expert support for Office 365, Teams, and Azure environments. Design, implement, and manage hybrid setups involving Entra ID and Active Directory for clients.
-Network & Server Management: Lead the configuration and management of Windows Server environments, including Hyper-V virtualization. Apply strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, and implement firewalls like Sophos or similar technologies to ensure robust threat management.
-Hardware & Network Management: Configure, deploy, and manage network hardware (e.g., firewalls, switches, routers) for multiple client environments. Experience with SonicWall firewalls and Cisco Meraki switches is a plus, but the ability to work with diverse setups is essential.
-Cloud Services & Security Management: Administer cloud-based services, manage user access, and ensure security following company standards. Work with clients to design and maintain secure, efficient cloud environments.
-Scripting & Automation: Use PowerShell scripting to automate routine tasks and optimize IT processes.
-Advanced Technical Support & Mentorship: Act as a point of escalation for complex issues. Mentor junior staff in troubleshooting high-level technical problems related to networks, hardware, software, and cloud services.
-System Monitoring & Proactive Maintenance: Proactively monitor networks and servers across client sites, identifying and mitigating potential risks. Implement and maintain monitoring solutions in accordance with company practices.
-Remote Monitoring & Management (RMM) Tools: Experience with RMM and Professional Services Automation (PSA) tools is required.
-Process Documentation: Document IT processes and procedures for the team.
-Client Collaboration: Collaborate with clients to assess IT needs and provide tailored solutions. Perform occasional on-site visits to ensure optimal client satisfaction.
Requirements:
-4-Year College Degree or equivalent experience in a similar position
-Minimum of 5 years in an MSP environment.
-Microsoft 365 / Azure Management
-VMware experience
-Solid understanding of Windows Server and Hyper-V virtualization
-Deep knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and threat management solutions
-Knowledge of RMM and PSA tools
