Overview:
We are seeking dynamic and motivated individuals to join our team as Solar Sales Representatives. In this role, you will be responsible for promoting and selling solar energy systems and evaluating for other energy efficiency solutions to residential and commercial clients.
Your primary objective will be to educate potential customers about the benefits of solar and other energy efficient solutions, conduct site assessments, provide tailored solutions, and close sales.
Responsibilities:
On top of working with company provided leads, self-generate leads through networking, cold calling, and door-to-door canvassing.
Make outbound calls and set up appointments, present solutions to clients, and close sales.
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' energy needs and recommend customized solar and other energy efficiency solutions that help bring client’s energy bills down.
Prepare accurate quotes and proposals, addressing customer inquiries.
Present compelling sales pitches and demonstrations to prospective customers.
Meet and exceed sales targets (especially monthly quotas) while maintaining high levels of customer service and professionalism.
Maintain Sales Pipeline and report to Head of Sales on a weekly basis.
Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities and customer interactions in CRM software.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project implementation and customer satisfaction.
Assist with site survey after sale is closed, if requested.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Successful sales experience, preferably in the solar and energy efficiency industry (preferred but not required of those new to solar sales).
Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Effective organization and analytical skills.
Creative problem solver.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Google Docs, Sheets, Slides) preferred.
At least 1 year experience in sales preferred.
