High-end automotive restoration shop in Orange County, Anaheim Rod and Custom, is seeking an exceptional automotive service technician. A positive, skilled motivated builder is who we want. Pays well, + medical, dental, vision and life insurance benefits + paid time off!
This is a generalized labor position consisting of: mechanical service, assembly, disassembly, basic body work, paint prep, wiring, suspension, brakes and many other services that are associated with restoration or customization of a vehicle. Welding and metal working skills and certifications are a plus!
The job requires:
- A working knowledge of geometry, fractions, percentages, & basic algebra.
- The ability to measure weight, size, & volume, & understand how to apply that knowledge in 3 dimensions.
- The ability to read manuals, use indexes and table of contents, + apply that knowledge to finding important information necessary for the completion of projects.
-The ability to follow directions, remember & apply verbal directions, + consistently offer feedback about the condition & status of current projects
-You to task yourself & pace your work, working to complete projects in the time frames allotted & record work completed for the day on the computer calendar & demonstrate completed work to management
-You to work safely using proper personal safety equipment including wearing gloves on a daily basis
-Cleaning & organizing project parts, setting up safe & organized work areas
Applicant must be punctual, respectful & above all, positive & capable of working in a family owned small business environment. High school diploma required. Some college or trade school encouraged. Applicant MUST have a clean driving record as this will be checked.
Must be available to work Full-Time Monday-Friday 8am-5pm. If you do not possess all the work experience or required qualifications but you have a base knowledge and passion for automotive & are a hard worker and fast learner, you may be a good fit for an apprentice/ shop helper position.
