Summary:
A Handyman is a maintenance professional who performs routine maintenance on a residential or commercial jobsite. A high-quality Handyman candidate will have basic plumbing, electrical, mechanical and customer service knowledge. This candidate will be skilled in a wide range of areas, but they will also be able to recognize when a repair is outside of their skill set and make a recommendation to their supervisor
Requirements:
- Must be able to keep work areas clean and secure, ensuring safety on-site, and demonstrating excellence of craft.
- Proven experience as a handyman or similar role in residential or commercial construction.
- Two work reference will be required.
- Working knowledge and repair skills across trades
- Experience installing and replacing plumbing systems
- Strong communication skills with property management and tenants
- Self-starter with good time management skills
Work Environment and Physical Demands:
Must prioritize safety on the job site working with tools and equipment at all times.
Must be able to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and perform strenuous tasks. Requires good manual dexterity and stamina.
