In behalf of the client, we are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to provide high-quality respite care and health support for our clients.
Position Overview:
The child is sweet and kind, enjoys music, going for walks, and interacting with others, and communicates effectively using picture cards organized in a binder despite being non-verbal. The LVN will provide individualized respite care for this 11-year-old, non-ambulatory child who is G-tube fed and requires respiratory support, including occasional nebulizer treatments during illness, in both home and community settings. Duties include assisting with activities of daily living, health monitoring, and implementing care plans, with additional support needed to safely access the second-story bedroom. The home is located in a quiet residential neighborhood with nearby parks and walking trails, offering a calm and enriching environment for care.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide respite care and supervision for individuals with developmental disabilities.
Support personal care tasks such as mobility assistance, hygiene, and feeding as required.
Administer medications and monitor health conditions as per physician’s instructions.
Document care provided and maintain accurate service notes for compliance.
Communicate effectively with families, service coordinators, and the OliveYou team.
Promote community integration and engagement in activities as appropriate.
