Pay: $23/Hr-$30/Hr DOE
SCHEDULE: M-F with ability to work on weekends occasionally
Job Summary: As an important member of the school’s support staff team, the Skilled Maintenance Worker –Carpentry/ Masonry provides journey level work in construction, repair, and installation of building frameworks and structures made from wood and other material. The individual in this role will also perform concrete and stucco installations and repairs.
Responsibilities include:
-Uses hand and power tools to measure, cut, and shape wood, drywall, and related materials to specification.
-Uses hand and power tools to fabricate, install and repair solid surface materials (countertops, partitions, and wall surfaces).
-Cut, patch and repair concrete flatwork and stucco.
-Plans and lays out work from blueprints, drawings, models, or verbal instructions using a variety of carpenter's hand tools, portable power tools, and standard measuring instruments.
Maintenance responsibilities include:
-Alter, repair, and construct items including walls, partitions, counters, doors, window frames, podiums, cabinets, and shelves.
-Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to doors and door hardware, fences and gates controls.
-Patch and repair drywall. Repairs doors, cabinets, latches, shelves, wall units.
-Patch and repair single ply, built up and clay tile roofing systems.
-Paint interior and exterior surfaces.
-Builds cabinets, shelves, wall units, TV backboards, consoles, work benches, frames.
-Delivers and installs, makes minor repairs of school and office furniture.
