Job Details:

$30-$40/hr

Full-Time

Shift: 4am-1pm, Mon-Fri. (subject to change as needed)

Qualifications:

Fluent in English;

US work authorization;

Valid CA driver’s license w/ clean driving record and background check;

High school graduate or equivalent;

Own basic hand tools typical of the trade;

3-5 years’ experience working as a Lighting Maintenance Technician.

Full Job Description:

Fullerton Electric is a fast-paced, full-service electrical construction company serving Orange County, LA County and the Inland Empire. We are looking for an experienced and dedicated LIGHTING TECHNICIAN to join our growing team.

The LIGHTING TECHNICIAN is the artisan of our company. This position will perform lighting and electrical system maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, testing, and installation on all aspects of the lighting system. This includes removal and replacement of lamps and ballasts, fixtures, wiring circuits, programmable controllers, and streetlight & parking lot illumination devices for a variety of customers and facilities. Must be available for overtime, including weekend work, as needed.

Responsibilities:

Perform regular lighting maintenance for recurring service contracts;

Provide recommendations for additional work at properties with recurring service contracts including at HOAs,

commercial properties and municipalities;

Troubleshoot and repair issues in lighting and electrical systems, circuits and equipment;

Test electrical systems and circuitry, equipment and fixtures using proper testing devices to ensure compatibility and

safety;

Perform new projects including panel upgrades, pole replacements, power restoration and LED retrofits;

Work with voltages of 120, 208, 240, 277, 480 VAC;

Identify/acquire replacement parts in accordance with company guidelines;

Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment and fixtures based on job specifications;

Wire, connect, test and maintain new services and devices;

Plan new and/or modified installations to minimize material waste, provide access for future maintenance, and to

avoid unsightly/hazardous conditions;

Clean, stock, maintain and drive a boom truck up to 45 feet as needed;

Respond to both scheduled jobs and emergency calls as assigned;

Other duties as assigned;

Must understand and conform to all governmental regulations and ordinances as well as any and all required safety

guidelines.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, and squatting comfortably while wearing a tool belt

weighing approximately 25 lbs;

Strong sense of balance and no fear of heights;

Able to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs from ground level with ease;

Work off of ladders, scaffolds, man lifts and boom trucks;

Certain jobs may expose candidate to inclement conditions including heat, cold, rain, and high noise levels.
