We are seeking an experienced Electrical Purchasing Agent to join our dynamic team and contribute to the smooth operation of our purchasing department.
As an Electrical Purchasing Agent, you will be responsible for managing the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and supplies. Your role will involve sourcing vendors, negotiating pricing, placing orders, and maintaining inventory levels to ensure the timely and efficient delivery of materials for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and purchase electrical materials and equipment for projects, ensuring cost-efficiency and high-quality standards.
- Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best value for the company.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and track material usage.
- Work closely with project managers and field teams to understand material needs and delivery schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and safety standards regarding procurement processes.
- Manage and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to orders, deliveries, or invoices.
- Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to ensure accurate billing and budget adherence.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in purchasing, preferably in the electrical contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of electrical materials, equipment, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks and MS Office applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
