Another Source’s client, FPPS (Facilities Planning & Program Services, is recruiting a Senior FacilitiesProject Manager to join their team on-site in Santa Ana, CA. FPPS (Facilities Planning & Program Services) provides a unique opportunity to support the education sector while delivering impactful solutions. In this role, you will work as an extension of staff for Rancho Santiago Community College under contract through FPPS.
About the role:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the administration of both educational facilities maintenance and small capital project programs. This role involves working as an extension of staff for clients under contract, primarily within California Higher Education, with Facilities Planning & Program Services (FPPS). The Senior Project Manager collaborates with facilities management staff, campus and district administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project development and execution from inception to completion.
Salary range: $140,000 - $160,000

Key Responsibilities:
Project Development and Planning:
Collaborate with campus staff, administrators, and private firms to develop projects from early planning and design stages.
Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
Possess comprehensive knowledge of Facilities Management, including HVAC systems, Security Systems, Fire Alarm Systems, Elevators, and other systems essential for the efficient operation of educational facilities.
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Project Management:
Manage all aspects of projects prior to the bid announcement, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Oversee the bid process and actively participate in bid award through project completion and occupation.
Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Cost Management:
Manage project costs, including soft costs, and ensure financial efficiency.
Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring all expenses are tracked and reported accurately.
Schedule Management:
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules.
Report on project progress, including percentage completion and any deviations from the plan.
Stakeholder Communication:
Establish and maintain effective communication with all project stakeholders, including campus staff, contractors, and administrators.
Provide regular updates on project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
Risk Management:
Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
Monitor and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure all projects adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure project quality and compliance.
Working in a Team Environment:
Lead and mentor project teams and stakeholders, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
Provide guidance and support to team members and stakeholders, ensuring project goals are met.
Vendor and Contractor Management:
Manage relationships with vendors and contractors, ensuring they meet project requirements and deadlines.
Assist in negotiating contracts and agreements with vendors and contractors.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.
Prepare and present project reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration or related field.
Demonstrated experience in a facilities management role within a California Educational Environment may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated experience working in an educational or public sector environment
Demonstrated experience working with the Division of the State Architect (DSA)
Demonstrated experience working with HVAC systems and Access controls
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of public contract code, education code desired.
Familiar with SimpleK Software for managing Keys, Master Key Systems. Certification desired, or similar system
