Precision Construction and Painting is one of Southern California's largest Multifamily Reconstruction Contractors. We’re seeking a Wood Inspector to join our Orange County Team.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate will have the ability to complete inspections with little to no supervision or guidance. Must have previous experience in wood inspections, trade knowledge,
Responsibilities:
Lead a crew of 2 carpenters to probe, identify and record damaged wood items
Document wood items on a spreadsheet based on unit number, location, wood type
Work one on one with estimators on setting up and organizing documentation of all inspections
Requirements:
Must be a self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
Must be an enthusiastic, quick learner with a strong desire to grow within the organization
Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, technical writing skills are a strong plus
Excellent multi-tasking skills in order to effectively complete work on multiple projects co
Proven ability to successfully deliver a quality product on time
Ability to cultivate strong relationships within a team
Proficient with standard business applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Experience in framing carpentry
Knowledge and experience on general wood replacement, i.e. fascia, trim, siding, etc.
Capable of heavy lifting and manual labor
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to read, write, speak & comprehend English
Must be able to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone
Visual acuity adequate to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and computer screen
Requires frequent bending, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, and pulling exerted regularly throughout the work shift
Requires the ability to climb a ladder
