Part-Time as a Contractor
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct forensic investigations to identify and analyze suspicious or fraudulent activity, financial misstatements, and asset misappropriation.
Gather and review financial records, statements, and other relevant documents.
Perform financial audits, tracing transactions, and reconciling discrepancies.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for clients, legal teams, and stakeholders.
Assist in litigation support if necessary including preparing for trials, depositions, and providing expert witness testimony.
Collaborate with attorneys, law enforcement, and regulatory bodies on complex financial cases.
Develop and maintain an understanding of relevant laws and regulations related to forensic accounting, fraud, and financial crime.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CFE, or similar certifications preferred).
Proven experience (2+ years) in forensic accounting, auditing, or financial investigation.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to detect financial irregularities and inconsistencies.
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and fraud detection techniques.
Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel, etc.) and data analysis tools.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to prepare clear and concise reports and presentations.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
