PART TIME, AFTERNOON/EVENING POSITION. DO NOT APPLY IF THAT DOES NOT WORK WITH YOUR SCHEDULE. Looking for a MATURE, even tempered individual with positive attitude who works well with others and capable of being a genuine team player. Must be able to learn quickly and take direction. MUST be able to work late afternoon into evening shifts Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday and 2-11pm Saturday and 11am to 10pm on Sundays.
Essentials:
- MUST HAVE CURRENT FOOD HANDLERS CARD OR GET ONE WITHIN ONE WEEK
- Be able to prepare and cook food according to recipes
- Provide general support and culinary support to other individuals as part of the team
in the kitchen
- Understand food order slips and be able to receive and comprehend verbal instructions
- Prepare food to recipe for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Experience as fry cook and knowledge in how to safely cook and handle a fryer
- Must have the ability and willingness to help other stations to prevent back up
- Willingness and Ability to cross-train and work in multiple positions – we believe in the
concept of ONE Kitchen, where your training and flexibility will enable you to become an expert
in all back of the house roles to create a well rounded individual who can grow and develop
leadership/management skills to utilize for future endeavors and goals
- Maturity and professionalism under pressure desirable and the ability to communicate with
coworkers and/or managers in an effective, honest manner required.
Things to keep in mind before applying: Kitchen staff often doesn't get out until around 10:30-11pm dependent on how long it takes to clean up and bus stops running at 9:30pm so late night transportation aside from bus may be necessary. Pay based on experience.
