Job Description

Our client, a well established nonprofit agency, is hiring for a Human Resources Manager.

SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, the Human Resources Manager maintains and enhances human resources by planning, implementing and evaluating employee relations, recruitment, benefits administration and relevant policies, programs and practices, in support of the agencys mission and strategic plan.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Human Resources Manager will Identify, evaluate and resolve human relation, employee morale, work performance and organizational productivity concerns.

Create, organize and monitor employee training for all departments and specialized training as needed.

Guide management and employee actions by researching, developing, writing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines, and communicating and enforcing organizations values. Update the Employee Handbook as necessary.

Supervise and provide guidance and training for the Human Resources Assistant.

Establish and maintain the organizations onboarding process including a recruiting, testing (if applicable), interviewing, and new hire orientation program.

Establish, conduct and analyze employee exit interviews.

Conduct research and analysis and provide recommendations for compensation strategy, performance management and succession planning.

Establish, schedule and monitor employee evaluations. Provide guidance and training to managers in the process.

Assist with compensation and classification issues.

Review employee complaints and ensure accurate and timely documentation of concerns and issues. Counsel both employees and supervisors. Facilitate actions to resolve employee issues and/or bring to the attention of appropriate management.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, Business or similar field.

3 “ 5 years of Human Resource experience in a supervisory role.

Valid California driver license/current insurance with a clean DMV record.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and human resources information systems.

Excellent presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work alone on a broad variety of projects.

Able to exercise effective judgment and sensitivity to changing needs and situations.

Knowledge of compensation strategy, performance management, employee relations, safety practices and talent acquisition.

Familiar with current and relevant California employment law.

Experience with creating a culture of engagement, collaboration and teamwork.

Capable of compiling and analyzing employment data to guide strategic planning.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $60,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
