We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman with a strong background in concrete slab construction to oversee and manage construction projects!
The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of concrete pouring, finishing, and curing techniques, as well as experience in coordinating and supervising construction teams. The Construction Foreman will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget, while maintaining high-quality standards.
PAY: $65,000 - $80,000
SCHEDULE: M-F, 6am - 2:30pm or 7am - 3:30pm
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on concrete slab construction.
Proven experience as a foreman or supervisor in the construction industry.
Extensive knowledge of concrete pouring, finishing, and curing techniques.
Strong leadership and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and blueprints.
Familiarity with construction equipment and tools.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or training in construction management are a plus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Project Planning and Coordination:
Collaborate with project managers to plan construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and logistics.
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that deadlines are met.
2. Team Supervision and Leadership:
Lead and supervise construction crews, ensuring that work is performed efficiently and according to specifications.
Provide guidance and instruction to team members on proper construction techniques and safety protocols.
Motivate and inspire team members to achieve project goals and maintain high productivity levels.
3. Concrete Slab Construction:
Oversee all aspects of concrete slab construction, including site preparation, formwork installation, concrete pouring, finishing, and curing.
Ensure that concrete work meets quality standards and specifications, including proper slope, thickness, and reinforcement.
Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the concrete pouring and finishing process.
4. Quality Control and Safety:
Conduct regular inspections to ensure that workmanship meets quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents and injuries on the job site.
Address any safety concerns or violations promptly and take corrective action as needed.
5. Communication and Reporting:
Maintain open and effective communication with project managers, subcontractors, and team members to ensure project progress and address any issues or concerns.
Provide regular progress reports to project managers, highlighting milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and potential risks.
Document all construction activities, including daily reports, work orders, and change orders.
