Career Strategies is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Leasing Professional with affordable housing experience for upcoming opportunities in Palm Springs, CA and surrounding cities such as; Coachella, La Quinta, Indio, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage.
The Leasing Specialist will work with the Property Manager and team to provide great customer service, meet prospects, conduct tours, execute leasing paperwork, and follow up with leads to generate traffic to the community. As a Leasing Specialist, you are the first step in creating a sense of community for current and prospective residents. Individuals with strong attention to detail and the ability to follow directions are vital to this role. If you are bilingual as well, we would love to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Actively engage prospects and relay pertinent information about their housing requirements
· Complete all necessary filing and paperwork associated with Section 8/HUD/Tax Credit qualifications.
· Report to the Property Manager with updates and a list of duties to be completed.
· Review resident files to ensure documentation is accounted for and up-to-date.
· Have knowledge of the community and floor plans to successfully convert tours to leases
· Process applications and prepare leases for qualified potential residents
· Conduct surveys as requested to ensure competitive market pricing
REQUIREMENTS:
· PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE as a Leasing Specialist for 1 year
· Strong knowledge of qualifications and required documents for affordable dwellings.
· Strong experience with Tax Credit and Section 8 processes and resident requirements
· At least 6 months experience is required. Knowledge of relevant software (OneSite, AMSI, Yardi, Yieldstar) is a plus
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Have a strong work ethic with reliability and dependability
· Must have knowledge of Fair Housing Laws
· Must be well organized and able to multi-task
