The Fitness Manager will be responsible for the smooth operation of the facility, leading staff, and ensuring members receive exceptional service. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience in fitness or retail management, strong organizational skills, and a passion for helping others succeed in their health and wellness journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, and support fitness and front-line staff
Oversee onboarding, scheduling, payroll, and inventory management
Drive local marketing efforts to promote services and programs
Lead recruitment and hiring efforts for departmental roles
Ensure compliance with safety and cleanliness standards
Monitor member satisfaction and provide high-level customer service
Manage merchandising, pricing strategies, and retail inventory
Develop and manage departmental budgets and financial performance
Foster a positive team culture through leadership and accountability
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in fitness, retail, or related management role
Strong communication skills; bilingual or multilingual preferred
Proficient in administrative systems such as payroll, inventory, and bookkeeping
Experience with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling
Solid grasp of retail operations including sales, pricing, and merchandising
Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team
Highly organized and able to multitask in a fast-paced setting
