Studio M is looking for friendly, motivated, and enthusiastic Nail Technician and Massage Therapists, who value a team environment and hold themselves to the utmost in customer service. Job Summary
The Nail Technician or Massage Therapist role is to provide and maintain the highest standards of nail care and/ or massage therapy services and recommendations for home care. Must provide excellent guest care and create a feeling of rest and relaxation for spa guests, resulting in high retention and increased treatment and retail sales.
Position Responsibilities
Provide guests with thorough and knowledgeable professional nail and/or massage therapy services, adhering to company protocols.
Ensure guests receive a detailed prescription for home care regimen after each service.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining daily work station(s) according to standards
Required to maintain the established revenue and guest retention goals set for the individual
Upholds and practices health care protocols and standards of sanitation and sterilization as directed by the State of California and the spas policies and procedures when dealing with coworkers and guests.
Actively promotes spa treatments, retail products, packages, seasonal promotions and cross-promotes other departments
Creates a complete guest experience from consultation to checkout, asking for referrals and upgrading treatments as appropriate
Has complete knowledge and understanding of all services and products while educating guests in those areas
Perform prep work and properly clean and restock stations
Attends scheduled departmental meetings, trainings and workshops
Provides services within the scope of practice of profession as defined by California state laws and in accordance with applicable regional laws and regulations
Learn all basic aspects of front desk including, but not limited to, answering phones, booking appointments, coordinating with service providers, replying to emails and online appointment requests, checking guests in and out, and giving tours.
Job Requirements
Must have applicable state license to perform services
Must be available to work varying shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to interact professionally and with sensitivity to the needs of guests and coworkers
Must be a team player and assist other departments as needed
Computer literate
Knowledgeable in all aspects of nail care/massage therapy including
o Natural Nail Care Services-Manicures, pedicures, and gel polish
o Swedish, deep tissue, hot stone, prenatal, reflexology, aromatherapy. Craniosacral and additional modalities are a plus
