Job Summary:

As a Rehabilitative Massage Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals in their journey towards physical recovery and overall wellness. Your primary responsibility will be to provide specialized massage therapy techniques aimed at addressing specific musculoskeletal issues, injuries, and promoting rehabilitation. This role requires a deep understanding of anatomy, physiology, and a compassionate approach to support clients in their recovery process.

Responsibilities:

Assessment and Evaluation:

-Conduct thorough assessments of clients' medical histories and specific musculoskeletal conditions.

-Evaluate clients' range of motion, muscle strength, and flexibility to determine appropriate massage techniques.

Develop Individualized Treatment Plan:

-Create personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

-Modify treatment plans as needed to address clients' evolving needs and progress.

Provide Specialized Massage Therapy:

-Administer rehabilitative massage techniques, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to individual needs.

-Focus on reducing pain, improving flexibility, and enhancing overall physical function.

Client Education:

-Educate clients on the importance of self-care, stretching, and exercise to complement massage therapy.

-Provide guidance on maintaining a healthy lifestyle to support ongoing rehabilitation.

Documentation and Reporting:

-Maintain detailed and accurate records of client assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.

-Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians and physical therapists, to ensure a collaborative approach to client care.

Ethical and Professional Conduct:

-Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client care.

-Stay current on industry trends, advancements, and continually expand knowledge through professional development.

Equipment and Safety:

-Ensure a clean and safe therapeutic environment, including proper sanitation of equipment and compliance with health and safety regulations.

-Stay informed about and implement best practices related to massage therapy equipment and techniques.

Qualifications:

Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist.

Certification or additional training in rehabilitative massage techniques is a plus.

Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
