The Job:

Under the supervision of the ILS Program Manager, you will support and teach functional life skills to adults with disabilities. Your efforts will align with their individual support plans to help them grow in their independence and live happy, healthy lives in the environment of their choice. You may work on areas such as advocacy, basic cooking, home maintenance, managing medical appointments, accessing community resources, and transportation.In this position, you will manage your caseload while supporting and collaborating with the individuals assigned to you, their families, service coordinators, and support circles. You will meet with clients both in their homes and out in the community to work on their goals. This role requires you to transport individuals into the community. You will be responsible for writing quarterly progress reports for your clients and coordinating meetings with the local Regional Center and your clients' support teams.Ideal Life Coach Qualifications:

Excellent communication skills in all aspects are essential.

We will train individuals with minimal or no experience in this field if their personality is a good fit for the individuals we serve and for our team. Must be able to pass a background check Preferred Education / Experience:

High School Diploma or GED required.

A degree is unnecessary; we seek individuals with strong values, a great work ethic, a welcoming and positive personality, and the drive to succeed.

Relevant experience includes ILS (Independent Living Skills), SLS (Supported Living Services), caregiving, CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), teaching, coaching, or a background in working with children or adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) or other disabilities.

Reliable and safe transportation, a valid CDL, car insurance, and current car registration are essential, as you will spend 90% of your day in the field working with clients. The remaining 10% will involve administrative tasks such as writing reports, documentation, and emails. You must be willing to drive within a 35 to 40-mile range to meet with your assigned clients.
