Description We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in the construction industry, located in Sorrento Valley, California. As a crucial part of our team, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, from processing customer applications and maintaining accurate customer records, to resolving customer inquiries and monitoring customer accounts.Responsibilities: Oversee general cost accounting duties, including the management of accounts receivable and accounts payable. Prepare and submit monthly invoices for various contract types, ensuring compliance with client requirements. Develop internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures for activities such as credit card and expense management. Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries. Assist management in developing financial forecasts, annual budgets, and refining key performance indicators (KPIs). Ensure compliance with IRS and state regulations, including timely and accurate tax filings and payments. Coordinate with project managers to ensure projects are updated with accurate information and billed accurately and on time. Review project contracts for compliance, modifications, and billing requirements. Monitor bank account and credit card activity on an ongoing basis, reconciling transactions in QuickBooks monthly. Investigate and resolve billing issues and perform other day-to-day accounting-related tasks as required.Requirements Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel is required Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Ability to prepare Annual Budgets is a key requirement Must have skills in Cash Flow Analysis Experience in using QuickBooks Enterprise software is required Familiarity with WIP - Work In Progress is necessary Must have experience in Job Costing Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Good communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and accuracy in work Good organizational and time management skills Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks Strong analytical and problem-solving skills A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
