Position overview: Performs a variety of complex administrative, financial and related work
Duties, responsibilities and required skills:
Oversee daily financial operations and provide leadership to the finance department
Take ownership of the company’s financial well-being and reporting responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and present monthly financial statements
Ensure all government reporting requirements are met accurately and on time
Compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and sound financial practices
Manage accounts payable/receivable, payroll, general ledger, and bank reconciliations
Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial data and reporting
Work closely with the Owner/President to support financial planning and decision-making
Establish and maintain strong internal controls
Coordinate with external CPAs, auditors, or consultants as needed
Skilled in QuickBooks and understanding of Construction Accounting highly preferred
5+ years of financial management or full-charge bookkeeping experience
Experience in construction or contracting with revenues exceeding $10 million is a plus
Strong understanding of Construction Accounting is highly preferred
High level of integrity, accountability, and discretion
Demonstrated leadership in managing financial workflows and personnel
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
