Position Summary:
The Dental Receptionist will be responsible for managing the front office of our practice, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience from check-in to check-out. This position requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet and check in patients in a friendly and professional manner
Schedule and confirm appointments, including follow-up calls
Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries or concerns
Verify insurance information and process patient billing
Maintain accurate patient records in the dental management system
Ensure the waiting area is clean, organized, and welcoming
Assist with administrative tasks as needed, such as filing and office organization
Work closely with the dental team to ensure efficient office flow
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or certification in office administration is a plus)
Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar healthcare setting preferred
Familiarity with dental office software and scheduling systems (e.g., Dentrix, Easy Dental)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of insurance verification and billing procedures is a plus
