We are seeking a dependable, reliable Medical Assistant for a part-time position(minimum of 20 hours). During the summer months, this will be a full-time position. We are a busy Cardiologist office. Job Description:
Rooming patients and taking vitals-such as blood pressure, taking the pulse, routine EKG's, going over patients medication list and making sure medications are current and updated in our EMR (ECLINICALWORKS).
Inputting data into EMR.
Referring patients to hospitals for procedures or another doctors office.
Prepare patients for examinations or procedures as directed by the provider, perform the routine test as instructed.
Ordering routine laboratory testing, echocardiograms, stress test (chemical and non-chemical).
Computer knowledge is a must, would prefer someone who is familiar with e-clinical works EMR, but not necessary.
Assisting the provider in all aspects of the delivery of care to our patients.
Maintaining exam rooms.
Performing duties of a reception such as answering phones, filing, and assisting with patient check-in and check-out
Collection of fees, preparation, and documentation of all transactions.
Verifying patient information and insurance
