Assistant work will be full-time after training and introductory period. Schedule will include weekends and some evenings. We are interested in someone with excellent references who is bright, emotionally stable and even tempered. This individual is genuinely committed to animal welfare, who loves animals and can assist in the holistic, compassionate care of our feline residents some of whom are elderly and have special needs. S/he can communicate effectively, maintain focus with careful attention to detail and can accept correction in the spirit of mutual cooperation. The individual we seek is very reliable and more concerned with making sure that a job is well done than looking at the clock. Some knowledge of grooming, health issues related to animals, especially cats, would be very helpful but not required of the individual who is earnest and dedicated to acquiring important skills.
