Northern California Forest Inventory company seeking a Timber Cruiser to add to our growing team. We conduct surveys, measure and gather land information for our clients. We are based out of Redding, CA and travel to various camps around the North State.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The qualified applicant will be a hard worker and will be able to spend Monday morning through Friday afternoon out of town. We provide transportation from Redding to the district where we are working at the time, and back. We also provide all meals and camp equipment, including a shower area.
There are not prerequisites for this position, although we have found that those who enjoy being in the outdoors, and/or have a background in Wildland Firefighting, Armed Forces, Construction, Forestry, etc. do well in these types of conditions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum 18 years of age.
Basic computer skills and navigation skills while using a GPS and compass.
Organized with a strong attention to detail and capable of working with minimum supervision.
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
Must be able to read, comprehend, and follow instructions.
Supply appropriate outdoor clothing, including good hiking boots.
Applicant must have the physical ability to hike for up to 12 hours per day on rugged ground.
Employee to follow company's safety policies and procedures.
Enjoy working outdoors, sometimes in adverse weather conditions.
WAGES:
Training pay: $15.00/hr. After training has been completed: $20.00/hr.
(Typical training lasts between 1-3 weeks.)
This position also has a Bonus Incentive Program designed to reward employees who perform above and beyond.
Each employee is allowed up to 4 hours of Overtime per day (optional).
Paid on a bi-weekly basis.
All food, beverages, snacks, etc. are provided throughout the week.
Sick pay allowance.
