K&S Staffing Solutions is seeking a Yard Laborer
Basic production, equipment maintenance, and job supervision. Work will be in an outdoor industrial warehouse with various duties such as rotating/moving stock, general cleanup and maintenance, painting, forklift operation including shipping/receiving, among other duties. The work is fast paced and can, at times, be demanding. There is repetitive lifting and we work in both hot and cold weather. Work occasionally calls for overtime or weekend work during busy production times. Regular attendance is crucial.

Ability to read tape measure, blueprints and sketches helpful

Strong planning and organization skills
Attention to detail and accuracy
Understand troubleshooting and how to explain the problem in everyday terms
Lumber Mill, Farm or Machine Shop experience a must, including but not limited to:
Ability to follow safety procedures and maintaining a clean workstation in each assigned area
Has worked around industrial equipment
Layout, measurement spatial concepts, and tooling knowledge is needed
Developing knowledge of building materials products, warehouse facilities and lift trucks
Understanding properties of metal and wood; including verbal terms and measurements
loading/unloading trucks, working in production, helping with special projects.
Safety:
Wears all personal protective equipment required
Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others by addressing any unsafe practices observed
Seeks input from operations leader and/or team member when the safety of a task is in question
Safely operates and maintains propane or gas forklift to unload, move, store, stage and load products
All applicants must have a high school diploma or GED
Maintain an active Driver’s License and reliable transportation
Clean pre-employment background check and drug screen
Forklift experience – certifiable
Exhibit good performance, safety and attendance record
Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, which includes climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, stooping, bending and exertion of more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds continuously to move objects.
Full Time
Monday-Friday 7:00-3:30
Pay Rate: DOE
