Beacon Fire Alarm and Security, Inc. is seeking a dynamic, hard-working, Fire Alarm Technician in the Redding, CA area. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 p.m. This position includes competitive pay, medical & dental insurance, paid vacation, holidays and 401k Retirement.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities (yet not limited to)
Deliver the highest quality of Fire Alarm Technician services
Install fire alarm systems according to system design
Network multiple control panels as one system, through wiring and programming
Collaborate with clients to determine their specific security needs
Educate customers on fire alarm annunciator, microphone use and preventative care
Provide training to clients on how to operate and maintain alarm systems
Respond to maintenance calls and perform troubleshooting duties
Test all newly installed fire alarm systems and perform regular inspections
Perform annual inspections/testing of fire alarm systems
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with alarm systems
Prepare all required record of completion paperwork
Education & Qualifications:
CA Fire/Life Safety Certification
Experience in Fire Alarm Installation, maintenance or related field
Driver’s license with good driving record

Knowledge of fire sprinkler fitting and electrical systems
Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints

Belief in giving outstanding customer service
Preferred Skills:
Previous experience in field service or as a service technician
Knowledge of fire alarm sales and construction inspection
NICET Certification
Programming Experience with NOTIFIER, Silent Knight, Fire-Lite and Ademco
