Hiring: HVAC Maintenance Technician – $80K-$100K (Arcata, Eureka, Blue Lake)
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician with HVAC expertise.
Salary: $80K - $100K (Based on experience)
Job Overview:
This role focuses primarily on HVAC maintenance and repair while also handling general facility upkeep. The ideal candidate will be comfortable traveling between locations and being on-call for emergencies.
This position is based in Humboldt County, with job sites in Arcata, Blue Lake, and Eureka. Candidates must be open to relocating, as on-site presence is required. Responsibilities:
-Diagnose and repair HVAC, plumbing, and electrical issues
-Replace broken compressors and diagnose bad compressor windings
-Identify capacitor issues and use the correct testing tools
-Evacuate and recharge refrigeration systems properly
-Understand and apply Subcooling & Superheating principles
-Prioritize maintenance requests based on urgency
-Follow strict safety procedures (power/water shut-off, PPE use, etc.)
Requirements:
-HVAC expertise required – must have hands-on experience
-Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
-Willingness to relocate to Arcata, CA (if applicable)
-Comfortable with on-call duties and emergency repairs
-Reliable transportation for travel between locations
