Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment, including turbines, pumps, compressors, and generators.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble machinery and equipment, ensuring all components are in optimal working condition.
Fabricate and machine parts as needed, using lathes, milling machines, and other precision tools.
Conduct inspections and tests on equipment to verify proper operation and adherence to safety standards.
Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to coordinate repairs and minimize downtime.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and parts inventory.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
Powerplant experience
Apprentice class.
Forklift and man lift experience
Ability to perform light machining, milling, and welding work
Proficient in MS Office Suite products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
Ability to perform strenuous manual labor.
Additional Information
This position’s work mode is on-site . The employee will report to an SCE facility or in the field location. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage. The work mode can be changed based on business needs.

Position will require up to 60% traveling and being out in the field throughout the SCE service territory.
This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.
Must be able to work a set work schedule of 6:00AM – 4:30PM (4/10 work schedule).
Relocation does not apply to this position.
This position requires testing and applicants who are identified to continue through the selection process will be invited to test via email. Reference our Information Guides for the following tests: EEI MASS Test #5105. Candidates who have previously passed these assessment(s), in some cases, may not need to retest again for this position.
