Network Technician for our client in Richmond, CAJob Title: Network TechnicianJob Location: Richmond, CAJob Type: ContractJob Description:Responsibilities:
Rack, cable, deploy and unrack Networking equipment.
Rack, Build, Cable and unrack Servers.
ILO for Servers and Out of band management for network devices.
Resolve reported issues via troubleshooting within the stipulated SLA.
Document Data Center tasks like Rack diagrams, Power requirements, Runbook and Standard Operating Procedures.
Standardize procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the network.
Provide evidence for SOX compliance.
Shipping Activities:
Meetings on shipping schedule dates.
Receive equipment in Land; prepare them for install; ship them back to vessels.
Complete pre-boarding training (15 mins to 1 hour per activity) by self and client's team members.
Complete Covid Test and other mandatory requirements before getting into ship by self and team members.
Perform technical work in ship to complete the scheduled activities.
Provide detailed completion reports after each activity.
Ensure to update diagrams and help documentation for the infrastructure supported.
About work in Ships:
Candidates should be willing to work in Ships.
Candidates should be willing to fly to nearby countries such as Mexico & Panama; necessary visas will be sponsored by.
Shipping activity schedule given by customer.
On average, there will be 2 shipping activities in a month.
Shipping activities usually consume 30% of resource time. For the remaining time, candidates work in customer facilities at base location and perform network activities assigned by the client's site lead.
Mandatory:
Relevant experience: 3+ years for Technician and 5+ years for Tech Lead.
Basic knowledge of Cisco Switch, Routers etc.
Worked in Enterprise Environment with Service Level Agreement.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Must be willing to learn quickly, adapt, and work in a fast paced environment.
Excellent communication and conversation skills (Verbal and Written).
